Shabbat means very different things for different Jews. At the JCC of Greater Washington, we want to provide the opportunity for every member of our community to create their own personal relationship with Shabbat. We aim to provide a time for everyone – JCC members and the public, children and adults, families and singles, all levels of religious observance – to enjoy community, learning, and family fun. We hope you will join us for Shabbat at the JCC – a day unlike any other part of your week.
Every week, Shabbat at the JCC will include something for everyone to enjoy. Health & Wellness Center hours begin at 7 a.m. and the Recreation Station is open from 7 a.m.-8 p.m. The JCC is pleased to offer a FREE monthly Jewish learning opportunity on Shabbat, open to all members of the community. Consider it a gift from the JCC to you.
At this free monthly celebration, adults can participate in stimulating learning opportunities, with various speakers, seminars, and discussions. During the lecture, children ages 5 through 10 will have activities in the JCC’s Teen Center, including arts-and-crafts and other fun activities. Wrap up the afternoon by joining with others in the JCC Atrium for light snacks and quality time together.
Shabbat – an ancient solution to a modern dilemma. So priceless, it’s free.
